ABOUT SOPHIA

Sophia Roth is a LA/NYC based actress, singer, screenwriter, and producer.

She is a proud Duke University alum, where she earned a B.A. in Theater Studies and Cinematic Arts.

Sophia is currently producing and starring as Natalie Goodman in Next to Normal at The Hudson Theatre for a limited engagement this August 20-23!

Recent credits include Dear Evan Hansen (Zoe Murphy u/s), Parade (Mary Phagan), and the lead in the horror short film “The Date,” premiering at the Night Frights Film Festival this October.

Other highlights include voicing the title role in Beat by Beat Press’ original children’s musical Frankie Builds Androids, performing as Margalit in the Richard Rodgers Award–winning To Paint the Earth, and singing alongside Josh Groban at Sing for Hope’s “Joshgiving” event at the LA Veterans Hospital (pictured), among others.

Beyond her acting career, Sophia is a true multi-hyphenate. Her diverse creative experiences range from working as a Production Assistant on Seasons 48 and 50 of Saturday Night Live, to creating her own TV pilot comedy during her senior year at Duke - which she wrote, produced, directed, edited, and starred in, to releasing original pop, EDM, and house music on Spotify and Apple Music. She has also trained in improv at The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade.
