ABOUT ME

Sophia Roth is a Los Angeles-based, NYC local actor, singer, screenwriter, and voiceover artist.

A graduate of Duke University with a B.A. in Theater Studies and Cinematic Arts, Sophia has built a multifaceted career spanning Theatre, Film/TV, voiceover, and music.

Over the past year, Sophia starred in a short horror film, performed as Zoe Murphy u/s in Dear Evan Hansen at Coachella Valley Repertory and as Mary Phagan in Parade (reviews below) at the Electric Lodge, trained with Emmy-nominated casting director Zachary Spiegel, and took classes with over 9 LA-based casting directors at Next Level Studios.

Other highlights include voicing the title role in Beat by Beat Press’ original children’s musical Frankie Builds Androids, performing as Margalit in the Richard Rodgers Award–winning To Paint the Earth, and singing alongside Josh Groban at Sing for Hope’s “Joshgiving” event at the LA Veterans Hospital (pictured), among others.

Beyond her acting career, Sophia is a proud multi-hyphenate. Her diverse creative experiences range from working as a Production Assistant on Seasons 48 and 50 of Saturday Night Live, to creating her own TV pilot comedy during her senior year at Duke - which she wrote, produced, directed, edited, and starred in, to releasing original pop, EDM, and house music on Spotify and Apple Music. She has also trained in improv at The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade.
