ABOUT ME

Sophia Roth is a Los Angeles-based singer, actor, screenwriter, voiceover artist, & recent graduate from Duke University, with a B.A. in Theater Studies, Cinematic Arts, and Documentary Studies.

A native New Yorker, Sophia moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 2022 to pursue her creative dreams professionally. She is very fortunate to be a bicoastal actor, and a local to both LA and NYC!

A few of her most notable professional experiences range from:

  • Performing at the Sing for Hope “Joshgiving” event at the LA Veterans Hospital hosted by Josh Groban (pictured)

  • Voicing the title role of Frankie in the Beat by Beat Press original musical

    “Frankie Builds Androids”

  • Workshopping the role of Margalit in the Richard Rogers award-winning original musical “To Paint the Earth”

  • Performing in cabarets all over LA hosted by Max Talisman and Jonny Perl as well as Broadway @ The, at venues such as the Bourbon Room, The Reefer Den, Bar Lubitsch, and Three Clubs (pictured)

  • Working as a Production Assistant for Season 48 & 50 of Saturday Night Live, as well as on music videos for Post Malone, Lil’ Wayne, and more!

  • Working at the Director’s Assistant to Documentarian and Director Sam Jones

  • Writing TV pilots and screenplays, from her original TV pilot comedy “The Sexpert”, created at Duke, to her upcoming horror film titled “Flashlight Time”

  • Releasing original music on Spotify/Apple Music

  • Studying improv at The Groundlings and Upright Citizen’s Brigade
